Sleeper Album: Little Simz No Thank You

This week sleeper album is "No Thank You" by Little Simz. This UK artist in on an amazing 3 album run where her growth is on display. While the Album "GREY area" remains to be my favorite "No Thank You" is probably her most perfect work so far. No matter what you're looking for in a hip hop album you will find it in this album. Her flow matches the vibe of the song and I don't mean just one flow for each song, she switches her flow so effortlessly on multiple songs and nothing feels out of place. Her content goes from introspection to activism that feels like a constant stream of thought where everything seemingly connects, it's as if the album is an audio example of correspondence or "as within so without". Her song selection is perfect sonically as well as thematically. There is no song that's out of place, every beat is intentional whether it's to add dramatic effect, to evoke an emotional response, or just to play as the backdrop to the emotional experience that Little Simz expressing. With that being said I have to shoutout the producer Inflo who did the entire album.

This album is does not have a track that I would skip, every song is pleasing to the ears, her voice is perfect for every song, she is giving lessons on several tracks about the industry from her personal experience. "No Thank You" is perfect for Little Simz fans and it's the perfect introduction to people who are unaware of this queen.
