What's Going on With 50 Cent in 2025?! Drama & Lawsuits!

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson might be known for surviving nine bullets, dominating the rap game, and flipping TV into a billion-dollar business—but lately, it’s the courtroom, not the boardroom, that’s been dominating the headlines.

Let’s just say: 2025 has NOT been a quiet year for Mr. Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

From being accused of weaponizing a car door against a photographer, to dragging his baby mama into court over a decades-old life rights deal, to trying (and failing) to block the release of a gory horror flick he co-produced—50 Cent is once again showing us that Power isn’t just a TV show, it’s a way of life. But this time… the power seems a little out of control.

Let’s get into the mess, shall we?

ree

Lawsuit #1 “He Hit Me with a Car Door!”

Yes. You read that right.

In early January 2025, a photographer named Guadalupe De Los Santos filed a lawsuit claiming that while 50 Cent was out and about (allegedly on a scooter, no less—yes, we’re serious), one of his entourage members slammed a car door open right into the photographer’s body.

According to the suit, 50 gave the signal to do it. Like something out of a mafia flick. De Los Santos was apparently thrown off his scooter and hit the ground, injured, stunned, and allegedly traumatized.

Now, this might sound like a scene from Power Book VI: Street Scooter Chronicles, but it’s real life, and the lawsuit is full of spicy claims: assault, battery, emotional distress, negligence, and more.

50’s team hasn’t said much, but come on… 50? On a scooter? Involved in a vehicular assault situation? Hollywood truly writes itself.

Lawsuit #2 The “Skill House” Horror Show

Now THIS one is messy and has Hollywood written all over it.

Back in April, 50 Cent did something rare—he flipped from defendant to plaintiff and decided to sue the very people he went into business with. Why? Because of the horror movie Skill House—a film that 50 helped produce and promote.

He’s suing Ryan Kavanaugh (film producer), social media star Bryce Hall, and the whole production team behind the film, claiming they used his image, name, and likeness without locking in a final deal.

Yep—he says they used his face to market the movie, made money off his name, and didn’t coin him in on the back end.

He wanted a judge to block the movie from being released and demanded a fat $5 million in damages. But guess what? The judge wasn’t having it. The movie dropped anyway. Oop.

And here’s the kicker: according to some set insiders, the movie is allegedly so graphic that a camera operator fainted while filming. 50 helped produce that gorefest, but now he’s trying to distance himself? Sir, pick a side!

Lawsuit #3 50 vs. His Baby Mama… Again

You’d think after all these years, 50 and his ex Shaniqua Tompkins would have reached some level of peace. But nope—2025 brought another round of legal smoke between the two.

This time, 50 Cent’s publishing company G-Unit Books filed a lawsuit claiming that Shaniqua broke a 2007 “life rights” agreement. Apparently, back when things were still a little warmer between them, Shaniqua agreed to hand over the exclusive rights to tell her story (and her story with 50) to his company.

But now? She’s been talking online. Posting about their past relationship. Mentioning their son. Giving followers a peek behind the curtain. And 50 ain’t having it.

The lawsuit alleges she breached contract by sharing details she no longer had the right to talk about publicly. And they’re asking for—get this—a seven-figure payout.

Shaniqua hasn’t said much publicly, but if you know anything about these two, this fight is far from over. It’s giving courtroom soap opera.

Lawsuit #4 A $20 Million Bombshell from the Past

And then there’s the dark cloud hanging over everything: a $20 million personal injury and abuse lawsuit that has resurfaced like a ghost from the past.

This one stems from allegations filed years ago but put on pause due to 50 Cent’s 2015 bankruptcy. But in 2025, a judge reopened the case, meaning the woman who filed it may now be allowed to pursue her claim in full.

We don’t know the full details of the alleged abuse, but reports say it’s serious. 50’s legal team argues the bankruptcy should have wiped the slate clean, but the woman suing him says her claim was never properly reviewed or discharged.

If the court sides with her, 50 Cent could be on the hook for $20 million. That’s a huge deal—even for someone with Vitamin Water money.

Let’s be real—50 Cent has always been a master manipulator of chaos. Whether it’s trolling on Instagram, beefing with everyone from Ja Rule to Madonna, or diving into film, TV, and liquor empires, he thrives in mess. But this? This is next level.

Four lawsuits in one year. Millions on the line. Personal drama, horror flick beef, and paparazzi warfare?

It’s giving Court TV, BET, and TMZ all rolled into one.

We don’t know how these cases will play out, but one thing’s for sure: this ain’t over. And if you know 50 Cent, he’s probably going to turn this whole mess into a miniseries and sell it to STARZ or Netflix! So stay tuned. 50 is a mastermind, and I'm pretty sure he will be just fine.
